Hanoi: Vietnamese Vegetarian Cooking Class

Build a Vietnamese meal around vegetables, herbs and the flavours you enjoy.

Plan & book
Hanoi: Vietnamese Vegetarian Cooking Class

This proposed cooking session focuses on learning vegetarian Vietnamese dishes in Hanoi. Choose whether you would rather practise a few everyday recipes or spend more time on sauces and preparation. The menu and kitchen arrangements are settled with the workshop before confirmation.

Experience highlights

  • Request vegetable-led dishes suited to your cooking interests.
  • Explore herbs, seasoning and sauce alternatives with the host.
  • Discuss a manageable menu for beginners or a family group.

Plan your experience

Suggested local plan

Agree the dishes and ingredients before class; a market visit is an optional addition. Work through preparation, seasoning and cooking with the host. Discuss ingredient substitutions for home cooking, with tasting portions and recipe material defined in the chosen class.

Make it your own

Specify vegetarian or vegan needs, including eggs, dairy, honey and fish-sauce alternatives. Choose milder dishes or simpler tasks for beginners. Discuss soy, peanut and gluten allergies and whether the venue can manage cross-contact.

Design a menu before you arrive

Suggest dishes or ingredients you would like to try and how much hands-on preparation you prefer. A market visit can be requested as a separate option; it is not assumed part of the class.

Be specific about dietary needs

Vegetarian, vegan and allergy requirements are different. Fish sauce, eggs, dairy, shared utensils and cross-contact must be checked with the venue. No allergy-safe, vegan or halal certification is implied by the product name.

Important notes

A vegetarian menu does not establish a separate kitchen, halal certification or an allergen-free environment. Child participation, tools and supervision must be approved by the workshop.

Useful questions

Can the class be vegan?

Request a vegan menu and tell us which ingredients you avoid. The venue must confirm both the recipes and kitchen arrangements before you accept the quote.

Can children cook with the adults?

Share their ages and ask which tasks they may do. Knives, heat and supervision requirements depend on the workshop.
